Great! So you have life insurance, now what?

You have planned and prepared for the future needs of your family if something should happen to you. You have made preparations to financially care for your loved ones if you die? Future planning may have made provision for your family to continue to live life comparable to what you have been providing, and even to make provisions for future college expenses for your children. Congratulations! You have taken the first step to responsibly protect your family in the event of your death.

But what if you are absent, without dying? What would happen if you were to become injured or disabled, sick and unable to work? Who would take care of the day to day expenses of running your household, paying the mortgage, the medical bills, school, etc? Who would have the burden of caring for you in the event you couldn’t care for yourself? Unfortunately death is not the only hazard to living. In future blogs I plan to address some of the other hazards of life and how to prepare for those unfortunate realities.
